Ray -

I followed your link from your quote to your "Wordle," but the gray "screen" was just blank.

I was looking at some of the others there and the Wordle website and it is either the same, or very similar, to what I did a couple of years ago at my "old" Finding Direction blog on blogger called a "word cloud."

I did one and posted it to Finding Direction, but in doing so had to buy a T-shirt that I got in the mail with my Finding Direction word cloud on the front of it.

It was neat to do, though, and I happened to see my word cloud T-shirt hanging in my closet the other day (I haven't worn it in a long time), so went back to look at my word cloud blogpost.

Wish I could see yours. I found mine to be really interesting.

Cheers & Blessings to you today!

It's great to hear from you, Ray!

I've been really busy the past couple of weeks, so am just now catching up with you here. Sorry to be so long in commenting.

I'm in Abilene this week visiting with my mom, so hope to spend some time catching up with everyone's blogs and commenting a lot.

I LOVE this quote by Doctorow! I've never heard of him, so went to your link you had here and read through a bunch of the interview. Sounds like a really interesting guy.

Hope you'll have the chance to post some more this summer. As you know, I try to stop by every day or two to check on your blog.

Cheers & Blessings to you today!

I kept a notebook for several years, but haven't kept it up in a very long time. I've always been more of an off-the-cuff, extemporaneous writer for the most part. Although I DO work on some of my pieces quite a long time with lots of editing.

I'd like to see you post some of your notebook entries, Ray.

I miss you!

Ray -

These latest three posts of yours, beginning with the St. Patrick's Day post, just showed up on my computer today(?!), although I check your blog every day. Your blog is always doing this to me and I have no idea why? Do you?

Anyway . . . we had a warm Easter and a lovely weekend, that weekend. I can't even begin to imagine such snowy cold weather here, even in March!

You and your wife will DEFINITELY have to come down to south Mississippi to visit with me and Tom sometime to enjoy some southern hospitality on our screened in back porch and on our deck.

We've been doing a lot of outdoor grilling, all ready, and have been enjoying our firepit out on the deck in the evenings. It's really been terrific. I guarantee you all would love it!

Hope to be hearing from you more regularly on your blog, Ray. I miss you all the time!

Much love,

Dearest Ray -

For some reason, your latest posts (since Prayer: Week 4) did not surface until just the past few days on my computer. That's happened before for me with your blog, so don't know what to make of it.

Also, I was out all last week hospitalized and bedfast because of yet another, this time very major, medical/health complication from being diabetic 38 years. Please pray for me in this, as it has been a very difficult week since I've been home and I don't see much chance (right now) of much, if any, improvement for the rest of my life.

Meanwhile, I'm planning on entering some non-fiction pieces in a local writing contest, Lord willing, and would appreciate your critique and thoughts on the first piece that I posted to my blog today.

I love this blog post of yours, by the way! I'm SO happy that today is the first day of spring and look forward to the upcoming days and weeks. While I was in the hospital last week, it seemed to turn from winter to spring in just the five long days and nights I was in there.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Much love,

Dee

...And the Spirit prays for us when we don't know what to say.

Good thing, remember in one of Prof Lewis's books (I'm thinking Screwtape) expert's prayers were "silent" I'm not sure I get it completely but there is a certain charm to just shutting up and basking...

Are we in a time warp here, Ray? What happened to the Week 4 prayer? Did I just dream you had it posted all last week? I must be missing something somewhere.

What's the deal?!?

Hey, Vic - I've been prone to depression my whole life, since I was about 15, and this one has lasted now for nearly a year. But, I tried to hide it, even from Tom, and so didn't seek any medical help until a couple of weeks ago.

I found out at that time that the medication I'd been on so long was not the best one I could be taking and didn't address all of the chemical imbalances in my brain. So, now I've started on a new one and am waiting (somewhat impatiently) to see if it is going to work. It seems to be helping some. I can't tell for sure yet, so will go back to the doctors in about a week and a half.

Thanks for asking. You can pray for me about it. I need them!

OK. I can accept your idea, here. And, I agree (to an extent) that there is a danger of the error you mention. It's just that, for me at least, the pointer is helpful. If I ever make the pointer the thing, I'm sure you'll let me know. :-)

R.J. saith: I’m not sure what you mean when you say, in the very next clause, “I’m thinking that if care is not taken this reversal is exactly what happens.” Please elaborate. What’s reversed?

That the speech gets mistaken for the speaker..or another way: The Liturgy becomes the object rather than Whom the Liturgy points to...

I struggle with the whole corporate thing and I think its just a matter of degree and numbers, and like Uncle Bob said: "There's just some things that numbers can't measure"

I'm sure at the bottom this is due to some flaw in my character...so many flaws so little character:):):)
